A total of 471,957 expatriate ballots cast via the “Postal Vote BD” mobile app for the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the Referendum 2026 have so far arrived in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, 512,916 overseas voters have already completed their voting.
Salim Ahmad Khan, Team Leader of the ‘OCV-SDI’ project on expatriate voter registration, confirmed on Tuesday (10 February) that, 766,862 ballots registered through the app had reached expatriate destination countries. Of these, 528,233 voters had received their ballots, and 512,916 had completed voting as of 10:00am.
He added that 502,487 ballots had been submitted to post offices or ballot boxes abroad, while 471,957 had so far reached Bangladesh.
Domestically, the Election Commission (EC) has dispatched postal ballots to 760,898 registered voters within the country (ICPV).
According to EC data, by 10:00am, 580,841 voters had received their ballots via the Postal Vote BD app. Of these, 534,376 had completed voting, while 500,408 had submitted their ballots to post offices or ballot boxes.
Salim Ahmad Khan further stated that, in total, 1,527,760 voters—both expatriate and domestic—registered to vote in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the Referendum using the mobile app.
