DHAKA, Sept 20, 2025 : President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus have sent their warm greetings and felicitations to the government and people of Nepal on the occasion of Nepal’s National Day (Constitution Day).
Prof Yunus highlighted the close and enduring friendship between Bangladesh and Nepal, built on shared values, history, language and culture. He expressed confidence that both countries will continue to cooperate across all areas of mutual interest for the benefit of their peoples.
In a message to Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Yunus wished her good health and reaffirmed that the resilient people of Nepal will progress on the path of peace, development and stability under her leadership.
President Shahabuddin, in a separate message to President Ramchandra Paudel, emphasized the deep-rooted historical, linguistic, and cultural ties between the two nations. He expressed hope that the bonds of friendship and cooperation will continue to grow and wished the people of Nepal continued peace, progress, and prosperity.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal Md Shafiqur Rahman attended the National Day programme hosted by President Paudel at Rastrapati Bhaban (Shitol Niwas). President Paudel hailed Nepal’s Constitution as a unifying force and called on citizens to remain united for sustainable peace, good governance and development.
