BNP Executive Committee Member and newly elected Member of Parliament from Chattogram-7 (Rangunia) Hummam Qader Chowdhury has urged his supporters not to engage in oppression or revenge after their electoral victory.
He said, “Just because we have won does not mean you should think about oppressing or persecuting others. This dirty politics must stop.”
He made these remarks on Thursday night while exchanging greetings with party leaders and activists at Kader Nagar in Rangunia.
Hummam Qader Chowdhury said, “We have endured a lot of persecution, and we know how such suffering affects families. That is why I am saying — a new Rangunia and a new Bangladesh. That means new politics.”
He added, “I may not understand politics very deeply, but I believe one thing — to do politics, your courage must be greater than your physical strength. This time, we will prove that we have that courage.”
He also called on everyone to forget past pain and divisions and move forward with a fresh approach to politics.
Addressing party activists, Hummam Qader said he has been receiving many messages and congratulations, and he is seeing many new names among supporters.
He said, “You all know that the family of Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury is not treacherous or hypocritical. Those who stood by us during difficult times are our true family.”
