The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved 13 development projects involving an estimated cost of Tk 1,988.09 crore.
The approvals came at an ECNEC meeting chaired by Chief Adviser and ECNEC Chairperson Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus at the NEC Conference Room in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
Of the total allocation, Tk 1,885.07 crore will come from the government exchequer, Tk 53.02 crore will be provided as project assistance, and the remaining Tk 50 crore will be financed by the concerned agencies from their own funds.
According to the Planning Ministry, the 13 approved projects include three new projects, seven revised projects, and three time-extension projects, covering key sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, foreign affairs, power, railways, and health.
