The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Monday set December 4 for the hearing on charge framing in a crimes against humanity case over the killing of 28 people in Rampura during the July Mass Uprising.
A two-member tribunal led by Justice Shafiul Alam Mahmud fixed the date in the presence of two accused — Mohammad Redwanul Islam and Rafat Bin Alam.
The tribunal also appointed state defence lawyers for two fugitive accused: Md Rashedul Islam, former additional deputy commissioner of DMP’s Khilgaon zone, and Md Moshiur Rahman, former officer-in-charge of Rampura Police Station.
The two accused who are in custody were brought to the tribunal in a specialised prison van around 10 am under tight security.
