West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has congratulated BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman and the people of Bangladesh following the party’s victory in the parliamentary election.
In a congratulatory message, Banerjee extended her heartfelt greetings to the people of Bangladesh and conveyed advance wishes of holy Ramadan.
“For this great victory, my congratulations to my Tarique-Bhai, his party, and all the parties. Pray, you all be well and happy,” Mamata said.
The West Bengal Chief Minister also expressed hope that relations between Bangladesh and India would remain friendly and cooperative in the future.
She emphasised the importance of maintaining cordial ties and strengthening mutual understanding between the people of both sides.
Her message comes as the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) moves toward forming the next government following its electoral success.
