The newly-elected Members of Parliament from the 13th National Parliament Election will take their oath at 10:00am on Tuesday. They are entering the Parliament building to take the oath. The ceremony will be held in the oath room.
To participate in the ceremony, cars carrying the newly-elected MPs began entering the Parliament premises from 9:00am.
Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin will administer the oath.
According to tradition, as the majority party, MPs elected from BNP will take their oath first. Accordingly, MPs elected from the party will take the oath at 10:00am on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, extensive security arrangements have been observed in and around the Parliament building for the ceremony. Those elected are being asked to show their national identity cards when entering.
