The National Consensus Commission (NCC) handed over its recommendations for implementing the July National Charter to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today.
Consensus Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz formally submitted the recommendations at the State Guest House Jamuna. Commission members arrived around 12:00 pm, according to the NCC’s public relations officer.
The commission is scheduled to brief the media at 2:00 pm at the Foreign Service Academy, the Chief Adviser’s press wing said.
Formed on 13 February, the seven-member NCC was tasked with reviewing recommendations from six key reform commissions and engaging political parties and stakeholders from the 2024 uprising. Its mandate focuses on establishing national consensus on reforms related to elections, public administration, the judiciary, anti-corruption measures, and police operations.
The last meeting of the NCC was held yesterday afternoon at the State Guest House Jamuna, chaired by Chief Adviser Prof Yunus.
